      Distinctive, exceptional and unique — these are the characteristic features of Saus.Guru’s Passion & Liquorice. An original blend of flavours that is sure to amaze you. Inspired by influences from Scandinavian (BBQ) cuisine, where cooking with liquorice and anise — in other words, liquorice — is a highly appreciated flavour combination. Liquorice is regarded as a heritage product of the Netherlands, although the flavour components of liquorice are not (yet) widely used as an ingredient in savoury dishes.

      Saus.Guru’s Passion & Liquorice is also known as “The Hoisin Sauce of the North” and offers the rest of Europe a great opportunity to discover this Scandinavian taste sensation. The word Passion refers to the fruity, tart flavour of passion fruit, which has been used as a substitute for the lesser-known sea buckthorn berry (Seabuckthorn), widely used in Scandinavia. Together with the liquorice, herbs and spices in the sauce, this creates a beautifully harmonious flavour.
